A powerful agent in the battle against footrot and foot scald in small ruminants.
FootCure is a traditional formula for topical application to animal feet. Contains proven anti-bacterial agents in a moisturizing base. Vaseline-like texture remains on the surface of the hoof and in between parts of the hoof long enough to work.
Applying FootCure™ on a hoof and wrapping with only SureFlexx® Elastic Bandage Wrap creates a low cost, disposable solution—as the wrap falls off as/when it wishes.

- Remove dirt/manure from hoof
- Trim hoof
- Apply FootCure™ topically. (Use latex gloves or nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean.)
- Protect with SureFlexx Elastic Bandage Wrap
- Repeat as required

Purchased this based on the high reviews to treat hoof scald (which turned into mild hoof rot) in my sheep. Unfortunately in my experience, it did not work. Perhaps user error combined with sparse directions. It doesn’t specify the amount to use (a thin coating vs apply thickly). Using a larger amount and keeping it wrapped caused a nice moist area which helped foster bacteria growth.
Ended up calling out a vet who administered an antibiotic and the situation is resolving, but not due to this product.

I have found using a craft stick (like a popsicle stick) to apply the gel works much better than trying to use your gloved fingers. HIGHLY recommend it. The stick allows you to get the ointment deep into the narrow crevice near the top of their toes. I have had mixed results using the bandage wrap. Sometimes, I think it keeps the foot from drying out. I just applied some to a ewe that has recurring issues and left her foot unwrapped. Will see how it goes.
