Love these covers! We don’t use heat lamps, so this is a great solution. These covers save lambs! We lamb in January and have to deal with snow, wind and cold. The nights can get to -30F°. They keep the lamb warm and still allows them to move freely. The covers are easy to put on and take off, they stay on the lamb, and mother isn’t bothered by them. They hold up very well. I have some that have been washed 10–12 times and still look new. Plus, it makes them visible. So it’s easier to find the lambs in a large group that you need to keep an eye on.

Completely forgot that I had ordered these covers a couple seasons ago until they fell out of the kidding cabinet while I was grabbing extra towels. It was 10pm, cold and windy, and a wonderful surprise to have these available for the newborn kids. A must have, even if only needed in a pinch!

This is our second time ordering the lamb covers. They are very handy to have for newborn lambs in the cold. Our lambs outgrow the large size in about 2 weeks. (We raise Romney and Corriedale crosses, so not extremely large sheep.)

Being new to the sheep business, I recently ordered 4 newborn lamb blankets prior to pending snow and ice heading through Kentucky. When the blankets arrived, they were not exactly what I expected. They actually were much better! I expected a buckling system, but these blankets are sewn shut fronts with head and leg cut outs with no buckles. The quality is high. Top quality for an excellent price.

Every lamb born gets a lamb jacket as soon as they are dried off. It really makes a difference in Northern Vermont cold winter nights.
