16' spring gate is a popular, effective, gate that fully retracts when expanded. Excellent for electrically bridging wide gate openings and a proven reliable gate for cattle.
The kits also includes an activator, insulator (different for steel vs. wood posts) and a unique SafeHandle™ to attach the spring to any type of electric fence system.

Installation
- Attach the insulator to the post you’d like to use as a pivot point. Attach activator to opposite post.
- Connect spring to the pivot point insulator.
- Connect spring to handle, stretch spring/handle to activator and connect.
- Connect activator to your electric fence with a PowerLink™ 4.0 or insulated cable.
Precautions
Note: The insulator and activator are different for steel vs. wood posts.
Use caution when grabbing the handle. Do NOT touch the metal at either end of the handle when electrified. Only grab the handle.

I haven’t used the spring gate yet, but the quality looks great.

I wanted to span a 4 foot gate opening. This said from 1 foot to 30 feet when extended. The 1-foot and the 4-foot do not work well at all. The spring sags and the weight is too much to hold at 4 feet. I returned the unit and was pleased to have my money refunded.
If I had a 20 foot gate to pass cars and tractors thru or a herd of cattle this would be great. It did not work in my engineered gate space. I am very happy to do more business with Premier 1.
